I find him on the sofa. Breathing deep. Lashes locking out
the world. There’s no rushing. No pulling. Not a hint of scrambling or marching
for the clock.
The week washes away. The hurry. The fullness. The wild wonderful
that is our life. There's nothing to bind us to busy. Nothing pressing.
That will come
tomorrow.
But today is quiet. The Lord knows we need it.
And before Him we’ll
be still.
For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Exodus 20:18
