Hello Friend,
Stress. Worry. We all work through these things. If we're not at a place of stress or worry now, it seems that there will be a time when we will be.
It's life.
In today's post, I share of how the Lord, in His mercy and grace, drew my heart to a quiet place. A place of stillness and rest.
You can read about it here:
http://www.guideposts.org/blogs/family-grace/being-still?int_source=front_page&int_medium=LN&int_campaign=FamilyGrace
Isn't it amazing? How personal He is with us? How very intimate - His love and concern and care.
It's truly more than I can understand.
Oh, how He loves us...

The House Next Door
Hello Friends,
There's an old Victorian across the street from where we live. It's charming. Beautiful. A grand old home.
But it's empty inside.
It's been empty for a couple of years.
I've been thinking, when the boys and I walk past each day, that this house is quite the opposite of me - a follower of Christ.
You can read about it here:

As always, thank you for the gift of your friendship.
Thanks for the gift of your time.
Lovingly,
Shawnelle

An Angel Keeps Watch
Hello Friends,
What a precious thing when roles are reversed and a sweet child becomes the one to provide care for an under-the-weather mama...
While down with the flu, I had the blessing of being cared for by Samuel. I won't soon forget. Here's the link to my post at Guideposts:

When Hope Is What You're Holding
Hello Friends,
I've been learning about hope. Stretching for it. Reaching for it. Holding it.
And finding peace in it.
What an overwhelming thing to begin to understand that our ever-loving Lord is always present, always with us, bringing light to even places that seem to have done dark.
Thank you, Jesus, for being light to the world.
You are my hope.

The Cowboy Next to Me In Church
Hello Friends,
Yesterday in church, I looked down and noticed that Isaiah was wearing his beloved cowboy boots. They're a little scuffed. A little worn. But this delighted my heart! You can read here to see why:

Discipline of Thought
Hello Friends,
Discipline. It can be tough stuff whether we're talking about what we eat or what we say or the thoughts that whisper through our minds.
Recently, I've been very aware of just that - my thought life. There are just some thoughts that I just don't want to indulge. Here's the link to my post at Guideposts:
