Wide-Eyed Wonder
Hello Friends,
Last week, I found a photo of toddler Gabriel peering into the bassinet of newborn Isaiah. Something in his expression made me stop and think about Christmas - about a desire to truly look in a season of rush.

Fragile Things
Hello Friends,
Have you ever experienced a moment when priorities slip gently into the right places? This happened to me last week when a broken Christmas snow globe brought revelation of more important things.
You can read about it here:

As always, thank you for being here.
I'm praying for you to have love and joy, peace and grace in these final days before Christmas.

Umerited Favor
Hello Friends,
Recently, while celebrating a son's accomplishment, I began to think about grace. What a sweet blessing it is that God's grace has nothing to do with my performance - and everything to do with His love.

Wrestling Christmas
Hello Friends,
Do you ever find Christmas preparations or activities to be a bit wild? Our tree trimming evening is always a crazy experience. But this year, I learned that maybe the madness isn't something to be wrestled with. Maybe I don't need to try so hard to tame things down.
You can read about it here:

The Christmas Cradle
Hello Friends,
A couple of years ago, my dad blessed me with a Christmas gift that still (and always will) makes my heart warm.
It was an unlikely gift for a mother of five sons. It was straight from my father's heart.
As I remember that Christmas, I think about God's far-reaching love...
You can read about it here:

Thank you for sharing this time with me. It's a gift.
I'm sending best wishes for a warm and wonderful weekend ~
May His grace sustain you and bring you joy.

The Blessing of the Box
Hello Friends,
Have you ever wanted to help your children to be more others-focused during the Christmas season? In today's post, I share a family tradition that helps us do just that.
Precious - how when we learn to give, we truly learn to receive.

Unexpected Joy
Hello Friends,
Winter has arrived. Snow. Cold. Shorter days. I didn't find it to be very appealing - until my boys helped me to experience unexpected joy.
You can read about it here:

It's my prayer for you today...that God would allow you to find blessing and joy in the most surprising places. Oh, the goodness of His grace.

A Father'sTouch
Hello Friends,
Recently, while looking through old photos, I found this picture.
Recently, while looking through old photos, I found this picture.
I remember the day well. Grant was small. We were at our favorite lake. But what I love best about this picture is the tenderness in Lonny's hands.
Do you ever long to be held by your Father?
I ponder this in today's post at Guideposts. You can read about it here:
Thank you so very much for spending this time with me. I'm sending a warm hug and am hoping that you'll find sweet, tender moments in the Father's hands.
Lovingly,
Shawnelle
